I was very impressed when the guys from continentaltiresreviews.com asked me to do a review of the Continental tires because I have always been a fan of the cars technology in Germany. You might not even know this but they actually have a highway in Germany where there is no speed limit whatsoever. So you can imagine how a tire company like Continental who is based in Germany will have a firsthand experience at creating tires for super speed cars. Of course my addition to the Continental tires reviews will not be based solely on that but I just wanted to point out how impressive they really are.
And I can also testify to how great the Continental ContiSport tires handle on dry and wet roads. They are the set I have been using for the last 3 years and let me tell you, I am a very aggressive driver. I like to accelerate fast and I like to test myself and my car every time I have the chance to go up or down a mountain. So the fact that they are still working after 3 years with enough meat in their treads to go for another year or so I really a testament to how good, sturdy and efficient these tires really are.
As for the winter tires I use a set of Continental Extreme Winter Contact and I am more pleased about them then I have been about any other type of tire so far. Switching from my all season a few years ago I felt an immediate improvement in the way the car handled. And the, as the days progressed and I had to use the brakes more often I could tell that they braking distance had decreased by over a car length. So I was more than impressed with them and I would never again drive in below 32 degrees temperatures with anything but winter tires.
